    Protozoa [Under Development]

    Protozoa is a 2D game where 4 players take control of white blood cells in an attempt to slow down the spread of a virus. The game is projected onto a table and players use hand made game controllers to control their characters. Each game controller consists of an infrared LED which is tracked using Nintendo’s Wii Remote. Players must survive as long as possible and will accumulate score as they rid the body of parts of the virus. Players slow the virus by interacting with certain pickup items that spawn in the world. One player may pick up a health item, two players can create and position a wall to hide behind, and four players can activate a bomb to clear the map of enemies for a short period of time.

     



    Responsibilities: Wrote almost all code for the game and helped design the game from scratch.

    The game is created using the Unity Game Engine and Wiiflash. Code was written in C#, Action Script, and Javascript. Art assets were created by Steven Amerhein <samrhein -at- ucla -dot- edu>.


    Cydonia (Click to launch web player! Requires Unity Plugin)

    Cydonia is a 2D top-down side scrolling shooter game. You take control of one of two cowboys in an attempt to gain riches. It is a two player cooperative game and each player is completely independent. A stagecoach at the bottom of the screen acts as an additional objective that you must defend. Enemies will spawn to the beat of Muse’s Knights of Cydonia and will culminate to a final boss battle towards the end of the song. There are many different types of enemies and the boss has different attacks that it may use.

    Responsibilities: Wrote almost all code for the game and helped design the game from scratch.

    The game utilizes the Unity Game Engine and was coded mostly in Javascript. Art assets were created by Steven Amerhein <samrhein -at- ucla -dot- edu>.

    Note: Web player requires Unity plugin and may not work correctly on Mac.
